Eating healthy really doesn't have to be so hard. I recently read the book Body Love by Kelly LeVeque and it has really changed how I think about food. Rather than restricting myself and feeling really bad when I have that brownie, I've learned that every meal needs to have protein, healthy fat, fiber, and greens to stay satisfied and full until the next meal. I definitely recommend that book if you are curious on how the body works and how to really eat well. It is so much easier than we think!
I think that one of the biggest things that puts people off eating healthy is the effort required when preparing healthy meals. Many of us don’t want to be spending our evenings chopping vegetables and slaving over a stove - it’s much easier to shove a pizza (we all know this is my favorite food) in the oven or order a takeaway. In college, I found myself eating out and putting frozen pizzas in the oven more often than I liked, so I got into meal prepping. Eating healthy really doesn't have to a chore and I wrote all about easy ways to eat healthy on my blog, amandadalvarado.com.
