Pizza Is More Nutritious Than Cereal

When I read this on Health, it didn't surprise me. Pizza is more nutritious than cereal for breakfast. Here's why - the majority of breakfast cereals are loaded with sugar.

Chelsey Amer, MS, RDN, CDN, a nutritionist based in New York, told The Daily Meal that "a slice of pizza contains more fat and much less sugar than most cold cereals, so you will not experience a quick sugar crash." She also said that pizza has more protein that your average bowl of cereal, so it will keep you full longer.

I've never loved cereal and hated that after a bowl, I would be hungry an hour later. Now, I know why.

Pizza might not be a daily breakfast you'll want to have because it still isn't the healthiest option, but it is a more balanced option for sure. Whenever you decide to have a slice of pizza, pick one with lots of veggies and pair the slice with a salad!

I've been following Kelly LeVeque's advice for a couple weeks and she is all about getting protein, fiber, healthy fat, and greens, a.k.a. the Fab 4, at every meal to keep you satisfied and manage blood sugar.

Pizza is my favorite food, so whenever I want to grab a leftover slice of veggie pizza for breakfast, I won't feel too bad anymore.
