One Georgia University Books Ticket To Men's NCAA Tournament, March Madness

Only one Georgia university booked a ticket to play in the men's NCAA tournament -- Georgia State! That's right, the Panthers are going dancing!

Georgia State defeated UT-Arlington in the Sun Belt championship in New Orleans and earned an automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA tournament.

This is their second straight Sun Belt title and the team's third NCAA tournament appearance since 2015. They will face Houston in Tulsa on Friday.

Georgia State's most memorable NCAA tournament appearance was in 2015, when they defeated No. 3 seed Baylor. During that game, Coach Ron Hunter fell off his stool when his son, R.J. Hunter made that winning shot with just about two seconds left in the game. It is still a hot topic and there is video and gifs to relive that moment.

During the 2018-2019 basketball season, the Panthers defeated the UGA, Alabama, and their rival, Georgia Southern, among many others.

Here's to a great game when they play Houston on Friday!
