Watch Artist's 'Exquisite' Kacey Musgraves Cover During High-Stakes Moment

Olivia Kuper Harris performed a “beautiful,” “exquisite” rendition of a heartfelt Kacey Musgraves ballad during a high-stakes moment on The Voice on Tuesday night (May 13).

Kuper Harris wore a stunning floor-length strapless gown and dramatic black gloves to sing “Rainbow,” one of 13 tracks that appeared on Musgraves’ fourth studio album, Golden Hour, in 2018. The Grammy Album of the Year winner also included “Slow Burn,” “Space Cowboy,” “High Horse,” the title track and more.

“Well, the sky has finally opened/ The rain and wind stopped blowin’/ But you're stuck out in the same ol' storm again/ You hold tight to your umbrella/ Well, darlin', I'm just tryin' to tell ya/ That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head”

The Voice kicked off with a Semi-Finals recap of the Top 12 performances before determining the Top 5 artists vying for the championship in the Finale. The first four contestants revealed in the Top 5 were Renzo, Lucia Flores-Wiseman, Jadyn Cree and Jaelen Johnston, from Teams John Legend, Adam Levine, Michael Bublé and Kelsea Ballerini, respectively. Remaining contestants competed for the final spot in the Top 5 with the Instant Save performance. Team Legend artist Kuper Harris’ “Rainbow” rendition was up against performances by Adam David from Bublé’s team, Iris Herrera from Ballerini’s team, and Bryson Battle from Legend’s team.

Legend hailed Kuper Harris’ performance “beautiful.” he said “it’s beautiful every time,” and “your voice is exquisite,” following her performance. Watch it here:

Ultimately, David secured the final spot int he Top 5 after his Instant Save performance of “Lose Control” by Teddy Swims. The Finale will air on Monday, May 19, and the results will follow on Tuesday, May 20. The Voice airs on NBC and streams on Peacock.
