The Houston County School District announced in a press release that Wednesday they were notified that a Houston County High School employee tested positive for COVID-19.
According the the release, the employee had been around an are where student-athletes present.
The district says those who have been in contact with the employee have been notified. They are also working with the local health department to investigate conduct contact tracing.
As an extra precaution the school has suspended football workouts until July 20, 2020.
