Here's How To Be Part Of The Downtown Macon Christmas Parade

It may still be summer, but preparations for the 2019 Downtown Macon Christmas Parade have already begun.

Officials are encouraging community members to participate in the annual parade. This year's theme is "It's Beginning to Look a LOT like Christmas."

Those who apply are encouraged to work this them into their entries, which will each be judged in their specific category.

This year the parade will be on Dec. 1 and kicks off at 4 p.m. Check in starts at 1 p.m. at the front entrance of the Terminal Station, located at 200 Cherry St. in downtown Macon.

Each group will have an entry fee of $125, plus additional fees for professional floats.

The deadline for entries is 5 p.m. Nov. 5.

Organizers are asking everyone who wants to enter the parade to complete, sign, and copy the packet in-person to the Urban Development Authority, or to mail it to the UDA at 200 Cherry St., Suite 100, Macon, GA 31201.

Download the application packet here.
