Get ready, Middle Georgia! The Macon City Auditorium announced it will host auditions for "American Idol" on Friday, Aug. 23.
You must be a legal U.S. resident and no older than 28-years-old to audition for the singing competition. If you've previously been a contestant on "Idol" you are ineligible.
Our news partner, WGXA, will be live from auditions starting at 6 a.m. on ABC 16 on Aug. 23.
Georgia native Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will be back on the judge's panel for season 3. 96.5 The Bull's Bobby Bones is also returning to season 3 to mentor the constestants.
