Fourth of July is just a week away and there are so many events happening around town to celebrate the holiday!
Independence Parade and Freedom Fireworks Celebration (June 29 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
The parade starts at 10 a.m. on Washington Street and will feature our hometown heroes, military units, colorful floats, Uncle Sam, and more!
Join us at the Georgia National Fairgrounds for a fun, picnic style celebration starting at 7 p.m. Food vendors will be on site, but you can also bring your own picnic, coolers, blankets, and chairs. We'll have live music by Soulosophy and fireworks at dark. No alcohol, pets, or personal fireworks are permitted.
Star Spangled Concert(June 30 at 3 p.m.)
Hosted by the Museum of Aviation Foundation, the Star Spangled Banner Concert features the Wellston Winds for a performance to remember. The “Star Spangled Concert” celebrates America through music, featuring the patriotic songs our country has come to love – America the Beautiful, Battle Hymn of the Republic, God Bless America, Stars and Stripes Forever, and many more.
Centerville Independence Day Celebration (June 29 at 6 p.m.)
Centerville will be hosting its annual Independence Day Celebration event on Saturday at the Centerville City Hall! This event is free to the public and will feature musical act Kapowski followed by fireworks. There will be food vendors and community organizations present with booths. There will be a free Kids Zone with bounce houses and obstacle courses. Bring your blanket and chairs to relax and enjoy the festivities.
Independence Day Picnic at Rock Springs Church (June 30 at 5 p.m.)
Celebrate the Fourth of July in Milner! There will be food trucks, games and activities for kids! Fireworks start at dark and there will be a concert featuring Mark Wills and country legend, Ricky Skaggs.
Warner Robins Independence Day Concert (July 3 at 6 p.m.)
Headlined by Better Than Ezra and opening act Rebecca Nichole Howell, recently on @NBCTheVoice, the annual Warner Robins Independence Day Concert is fun for the whole family. Vendors will be on-site with delicious food and fun. You won’t want to miss this Middle Georgia 4th of July classic at McConnell-Talbert Stadium
Milledgeville Independence Day (July 3)
The city of Milledgeville will be having its annual fireworks display at the city’s Central Georgia Technical College, 54 GA Highway 22 W. Fireworks start between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Fort Valley July 4th Celebration (July 4 at 11 a.m.)
Fort Valley will kick off its free Independence Day event at Lane Southern Orchards. KoolChange band will perform on July 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For $12, children will have unlimited access to a Kids Play Area, which includes three huge water slides, a Trolls Bouncy House and a Transformers Bouncy House. Children ages 3 and under can play for free. The event will also include face painting at the pavilion.
Macon Sparks Over The Park Independence Celebration and Fireworks (July 4 at 7 a.m.)
Macon’s Lake Tobesofkee will host its 25th annual celebration on July 4. Gates will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. for safety reasons. The event is $5 per car or motorcycle, $15 per passenger van and $30 for vehicles that can accommodate 30 people or more. All three parks will be open throughout the day. The Travis Bryant Band will perform live music from 6-9 p.m. at the Sandy Beach Park lower pavilion. The firework show will start at about 9:15 p.m.
