THAT SONG IS A COVER SONG?

Have you ever had that moment where you recognize a song, but then quickly realize that it isn't the version or artist that you're used to hearing? Then you learn that the song you thought was original is actually a COVER song? What? Yeah, that's what happened to me this morning when I was browsing through a fellow iHeartPhoenix Radio personality's Instagram Story and heard and saw 2Pac's "I Ain't Mad At Cha," but recognized the music as Blackstreet's "Don't Leave Me Girl." My mind was blown further when I told my co-worker, our sister station V101.7's, Harold "Biggity" Banks, about my discovery, he then schooled me on the ORIGINAL song which was Debarge's 1983 release "A Dream." So there ya go! A history of a song, of a beat, of a melody. Different stories told with the same music. Which songs have you discovered were not original songs?
