There's a lot of money talk in the news today- specifically when it comes to work and dating.
Let's start with work.
What do people want in a job in 2023? In a word: money.
Flexibility, vacation, and other benefits are great, but a survey found that what most job seekers want in a workplace right now is a good paycheck. 62% respondents said they want more competitive salaries in 2023.
As for the relationship side of things...
Money matters … They may say money isn’t everything, but it definitely matters in the dating world. In fact, a new survey finds that most daters agree that making less than $30,000 a year is a deal-breaker.
According to the U.S. census data, the median annual salary in the U.S. is $37,000. Also, a student loan debt of more than $28,000 is a red flag for many daters. Experts agree that couples need to discuss finances sooner rather than later in their relationship and need to ask each other the following questions:
- What are your financial goals?
- What are your financial fears?
- What are your non-negotiable items?
- How will we blend our finances?
- How will we spend or save?
