Luke Combs shared a sneak peek of another unreleased anthem with a new album underway in 2026.
The award-winning country star posted a studio recording of “Sleepless in a Hotel Room” on Sunday (January 4). Commenters on Instagram and TikTok said they’re “convinced you cannot make a bad song,” already hailed it the “best song in 2026,” and expressed eagerness for Combs to release the full song and album.
Combs has not announced a release date for “Sleepless in a Hotel Room” as of publication time on Monday (January 5). He said in late September, when he announced The Prequel, that he’s “still working on my new album that’ll be out early next year [2026],” but he “couldn’t wait to get y’all some new music.” The Prequel arrived in early October with “Days Like These,” “15 Minutes” and “My Kinda Saturday Night.” He’s since debuted “Giving Her Away” an emotional ballad that serves as a message from a groom to his father-in-law.
Combs said when he released The Prequel, “it’s crazy. I just feel like it’s the first time I put music out in quite some time, and I’m nervous about it. I’m nervous to see what you guys will think about it. I’m really confident in these songs that we’ve recorded and I know that you guys have been waiting for music for a long time. I’ve just been kind of doing as much as I can, raising the kids… It’s just wild. It’s just wild. Time flies, and it feels like I’ve been doing this forever and for six months at the same time, if that makes any sense.”
Combs hasn’t revealed new details about his next album; however, he previously announced he’s kicking off his headlining “My Kinda Saturday Night Tour” in March. The star-studded run of shows includes special guests Dierks Bentley, The Script, The Teskey Brothers, Thomas Rhett, Ty Myers, Jake Worthington, Thelma & James and The Castellows on select dates.
