Chris Young made a surprise appearance on Lower Broadway in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The country hitmaker delivered a pop-up set on stage at Bootleggers Inn, located among the famous Broadway honky tonks, and posted a video of that moment on TikTok. Young’s one-minute, 50-second video shows the country star delivering acoustic renditions of his 2009 hit, “Gettin’ You Home,” the title track of his 2021 album, “Famous Friends,” 2013's “Aw Naw,” and more.

“Sometimes you play a random set in Nashville,” Young wrote in the video, adding in his caption: “Nashville be like….”

The pop-up performance on Nashville’s Lower Broadway comes shortly after Young announced long-awaited details about his ninth full-length studio album, Young Love & Saturday Nights. The 18-track project — Young’s largest collection to date — takes on the same name as his David Bowie-inspired single. He’ll kick off a tour by the same name in April, featuring special guest Bryan Martin.

Young released his latest Young Love & Saturday Nights track and music video, “Right Now,” earlier this month. He gave iHeartCountry an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse of the making of the Alexia Stone- and Stephen Kinigopoulos-directed music video, filmed in Nashville, Tennessee.

Young Love & Saturday Nights is set to release on March 22.
