Miranda Lambert revealed her latest duet partner and the release date of the collaboration on Wednesday (May 31), one day after sharing a mysterious teaser on her social media channels. Lambert is teaming up with fellow singer-songwriter Leon Bridges to release “If You Were Mine.” She shared a snippet of the soulful, soon-to-release song on Instagram, writing: “Two Texans. One song. June 6.”

On Tuesday (May 30), Lambert signaled to her social media followers to “stay tuned” for new music. The vague post included two snapshots of the “If I Was A Cowboy” hitmaker in the recording studio, in addition to a brief clip from a recent interview where she dropped the hint: “I’ve got a few collabs up my sleeve that I’m very excited about.”

Instagram users gushed that they’re “already obsessed,” and “dying” over the “dream collaboration.” Bridges is Lambert’s latest duet partner after the Longview, Texas-born artist recently confirmed that she “loved writing a tune” with Jelly Roll, and shared with Dierks Bentley that they “have a few new songs” as they revealed a teaser of a song set to appear in the CBS drama Fire Country.
