LeAnn Rimes gushed over the “full circle” moment she shared with “icon” Wynonna Judd when the two powerhouse artists took the stage at the 2023 CMT Music Awards on Sunday night (April 2).

Rimes shared a reel on Instagram on Monday (April 3), reflecting on a 1997 performance of Judd’s early 1990s anthem, “No One Else on Earth.” The two powerhouse country stars took the stage together again during an all-star tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd to close out the awards show. They took the Moody Center stage in Austin, Texas with Billy GibbonsSlashWarren HaynesCody JohnsonChuck Leavell and Paul Rodgers.

The Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute — which included renditions of “Simple Man” and “Sweet Home Alabama” — comes as the band celebrates the 50th anniversary of their debut album. It also comes shortly after Gary Rossington, guitarist and the last remaining original member of the band, died. He was 71. Lynyrd Skynyrd announced Rossington’s death in a Facebook post at that time: “It is with our deepest sympathy and sadness that we have to advise, that we lost our brother, friend, family member, songwriter and guitarist, Gary Rossington, today. Gary is now with his Skynyrd brothers and family in heaven and playing it pretty, like he always does. Please keep Dale, Mary, Annie and the entire Rossington family in your prayers and respect the family's privacy at this difficult time.”

Judd also took the stage on Sunday evening for a breathtaking performance with Ashley McBryde. The two joined forces for a powerful performances of “I Want To Know What Love Is.” Watch Judd perform with Rimes — first in 1997 and again in 2023 — here:
