Drake added fuel to his speculative romance with Kylie Jenner when he unveiled a snippet of an unreleased track, but the rapper said he means no disrespect.
On Wednesday (May 20), the rap titan and OVO comrade Mark Robinson took to Instagram Live to tease some unreleased music, including a collaboration with Future, and it included a line, where he referred to the E! reality star as a side piece. The track, which has been in the works for some time, hears the rappers bond over all the ladies they've been able to haul in. "Yeah, I'm a hater to society/ Real sh*t, Kylie Jenner that's a side piece /Yeah, I got 20 motherf***in’ Kylies," he raps.
However, a follow-up message from Drake's Instagram Stories revealed that there's no intention to make Jenner feel disrespected. "A song that mark ran last night on night owl sound live set shouldn't have been played," the rapper wrote. "It's a song that leaked 3 years ago and got scrapped shortly after. He was just going too deep in the drake/future catalogue. Last thing I'd want to do is wake up having any friends of mine feeling disrespected so I just had to say that to start the day."
Interestingly enough, Future also rapped the same exact verse when he teased the track in 2018. The song also gives a shoutout to Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. "Yeah, I got 20 damn Kendalls /Young slim baddies and they in Vogue/ Yeah, I got 20 f**kin' Gigis," the pair raps in Future's teaser of the song.
Drizzy's mention of pulling in the supermodels, particularly Jenner, perpetuates the rumors that have circulated about the duo. Last year, the two were reportedly spotted flirting at the OVO honcho's birthday celebration. After that rumor spread, a source told Us Weekly that they are spending time with one another, but their dynamic "isn't anything serious." "Drake has always had a thing for Kylie and it's mutual," the source told the outlet. "They hang out here and there and have been more recently than in the past because Kylie is technically single right now and the two of them live so close to each other."
