One of Ariana Grande's fans accused her of performing with autotune, and her clap back was as classy as you'd expect.
On Friday (August 30), the pop star shared a (now-deleted) video of her belting "breathin" at a recent concert. Shockingly, one of her followers reacted in disbelief and questioned the 26-year-old's vocal abilities. "It sounds like autotune and probably not live. I mean you are a great singer and I love your voice and your songs but this doesn't sound live," the unconvinced fan wrote.
Rightfully offended, the "7 Rings" musician put the user on blast, writing back, "naw, with all due respect i could do this in your living room for you, fam. with no sound mixing or help at all. i could do it on broadway (and did). i can do it in the shower."
The powerhouse signed off in closing, "It's my gift / it's why i'm here. i sing 30+ songs a night. ☁️☁️☁️ every word. it's my thing. let me shine like damn. 💛💛💛"
Grande's been giving it her all with her "Sweetener World Tour," and it's beginning to take an emotional toll on the musician. This proved to be the case when she recently canceled a meet-and-greet event for the sake of her mental health.
"My anxiety and depression have been at an all time high lately. i have been giving you all i've got and trying to push through as hard as i can and mask it," Grande shared on Instagram. "After a handful of panic attacks, i feel like the wisest decision would be to not do soundcheck party or m&g today and preserve my energy for the show."
