Taylor Swift Is Grossed Out That Scooter Braun Will Now Own Her Music

Celebrity music manager Scooter Braun, who manages Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato, will soon own Taylor Swift's music.

In a Tumblr post, Swift accuses Braun of bullying her for years and says that she is "sad and grossed out" that he will soon own her entire music catalogue.

In an article on Variety, it was reported that Ithaca Holdings LLC., Braun's media holdings company, and Big Machine Label Group reached an agreement where Ithaca Holdings will acquire Big Machine. Big Machine is Swift's former record label.

Braun posted a photo of himself and Scott Borchetta on Instagram sharing the big news.

"Genuinely grateful for my new partner @scott.borchetta and the entire @bigmachinelabelgroup team. We together at Ithaca are going to do amazing things and our hope is to give every artist the tools they need to succeed in all arenas. Thank you again for the trust Scott. Let’s get it!" Braun wrote.

Braun will own not only Swifts six albums, but also music other artists including Reba McEntire, Thomas Rhett, and Lady Antebellum.

"For years I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work," Swift shared in a Tumblr post. "Instead I was given an opportunity to sign back up to Big Machine Records and ‘earn’ one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in. I walked away because I knew once I signed that contract, Scott Borchetta would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future. I had to make the excruciating choice to leave behind my past. Music I wrote on my bedroom floor and videos I dreamed up and paid for from the money I earned playing in bars, then clubs, then arenas, then stadiums."

Swift shared a screenshot of an Instagram post by Justin Bieber and called Braun out for "incessant, manipulative bullying."

Swift goes on to say that "Scooter has stripped" her of her "life's work," adding that she was never given an opportunity to buy it herself. She adds that Braun owning her work is her "worst case scenario."

Swifts ends her post on a lighter note and reminding us that "Lover" will be out Aug. 23. This will her seventh studio album.
