It's a problem I have encountered more in the last 6 months of my life, than in the last 6 years, people around me not focusing on me when I'm right in front of them because they are too busy focusing on their phones. Not everyone, of course, but it happens more often than not. I know some people, like myself, that are master communicators and multi-taskers that can manage a conversation with someone in front of them and complete a task on a device at the same time. Typically, though, I try to complete what I need to on the device quickly so that I can focus on the person in front of me fully. My advice for those dealing with someone that is too busy on their phone is to ask the person to give you their attention, and if they do not, just walk away, and try to find a time when they're not engaged with a device. What do you do?
