Chris Stapleton is the latest act to join the performers' lineup for the 12th Annual ACM Honors, per an official press announcement from the Academy of Country Music. The "Broken Halos" star and Grammy winner will storm the stage alongside fellow performers like Kassi Ashton, Dustin Lynch, Ashley McBryde, Old Crow Medicine Show and American Idol alum Lauren Alaina in addition to a host of others.
Bobby Bones, Ricky Skaggs, Kip Moore, Jordan Davis, Lindsay Ell, Lori McKenna and Storme Warren will present at the ceremony taking place on Wednesday (August 22) at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, which Alaina and Jon Pardi will serve as co-hosts.
The event, presented and sponsored by City National Bank, acknowledges select honorees and off-camera category winners from the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards.
Of the evening's Special Awards recipients include Dierks Bentley (ACM Merle Haggard Spirit Award), Matraca Berg (ACM Poet’s Award), Sam Hunt (ACM Gene Weed Milestone Award) and Alan Jackson (ACM Cliffie Stone Icon Award) among several others. In tandem with the aforementioned honors, winners of the Industry and Studio Recording Awards will also be unveiled along with the Songwriter of the Year Award, which will be given to Rhett Akins this year.
