Members of the Macon community gathered for another day of protest in downtown Macon. Bibb county Sheriff David Davis was among protesters holding signs and chanting.
Davis told WGXA, "It's important to show my support and solidarity with those folks that are just shocked, as we all are, just shocked and just troubled by what happened to George Floyd and others,"
Davis said these protests were an opportunity for the community to "express that anger, to express that concern and let people know that here in Macon, we hear it. And here in Macon, we are concerned, and here in Macon, that we are going to do everything to make sure that our officers treat people the way they should be treated."
