Baldwin and Houston counties are offering summer meal programs for children under 18-years-old.
Kids and teens under 18-years-old can stop by the Baldwin Bus Stop Cafe during the week between June 3 and July 18. The stops can be found here. Kids and teens can also head to the cafeteria at Baldwin County High School in Milledgeville for meals. Breakfast will be served 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and lunch will be served 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Meals will not be served July 4-5. Kids and teens 18 and under can get meals from Houston county, even if they are not enrolled in the school system.
Monday through Friday until July 26, meals will be offered at three schools - Huntington Middle, Morningside Elementary, and Parkwood Elementary. Breakfast is served from 7:30 a.m. 9:30 a.m. Lunch served 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
The Houston County School Nutrition Program will offer free meals this summer to children ages 18 and under.
Additionally, seven mobile routes will travel scheduled routes through Houston County neighborhoods. Additional sites, such as Vacation Bible Schools at participating churches, will be opened periodically throughout the summer. All sites are able to serve any child up to 18 years of age.
